Work Environment\n

This position operates within an outpatient office setting, with the possibility of remote work arrangements. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of primary care providers, medical staff, and administrative personnel. This supportive environment allows LPCs to leverage their skills to enhance patient care while achieving productivity targets for billable services on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Licensed Professional Counselor will include:

• Conducting patient intakes that focus on diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic recommendations, while collaborating closely with primary care providers to establish treatment goals.

• Providing brief, targeted interventions to clients seeking mental health services, ensuring that care is timely and effective.
\n
• Identifying patients who may require referrals to specialty mental health facilities, ensuring that a proper continuum of care is maintained.
\n
• Initiating follow-ups to monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Developing relapse prevention strategies and supporting clients in maintaining functional stability during their recovery journeys.
\n
• Identifying at-risk patients and formulating proactive plans to minimize the risk of worsening conditions.
\n
• Coordinating health services for patients, connecting with other treatment providers within the clinic and, with patient consent, external providers.
\n
• Documenting patient progress thoroughly in treatment charts and keeping primary care providers informed about patient needs.
\n
• Enhancing patient engagement by providing the necessary skills and education for self-management of their health and participation in their therapeutic process.
\n
• Attending team meetings and contributing to program evaluations while providing recommendations regarding behavioral health services.
\n
• Adhering to the ethical standards of clinical practice and conducting all professional responsibilities with integrity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges and psychosocial difficulties. Clients will benefit from tailored therapeutic interventions designed to promote overall well-being, with a special emphasis on creating effective communication and supportive relationships throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field.

• A current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) License.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and psychotherapy principles.

• Understanding of community resources available to clients and their families.
\n
• The ability to develop therapeutic relationships and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Mental and physical health sufficient to effectively manage the demands of the position.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish for improved communication with diverse client populations.

• Experience working in a community health setting, particularly focusing on integrated care models.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 87,000 and 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
