Mountain Springs Wellness & Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing therapeutic team. This is a remote opportunity that offers flexibility in scheduling while maintaining a collaborative environment with your colleagues. Although you will primarily work independently, regular team meetings and case consultations will foster professional development and peer support. You’ll utilize telehealth platforms to connect with clients, ensuring that you can provide high-quality care while adhering to all regulatory and organizational guidelines. Each week, the LPC is expected to meet productivity targets for billable services, ensuring the sustainability of our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a valued member of our counseling team, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, to ascertain individual treatment needs.
  • \n
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans and recommend appropriate interventions while collaborating with primary care providers.
  • \n
  • Provide brief, focused therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mental health for individuals in crisis or those requiring ongoing support.
  • \n
  • Initiate and monitor follow-up care to assess patient progress and make timely adjustments to treatment strategies as necessary.
  • \n
  • Detect at-risk patients and develop proactive intervention plans to help prevent further deterioration of their mental health.
  • \n
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches to assist patients in making healthier lifestyle choices that complement their treatment.
  • \n
  • Document patient interactions, including progress notes and treatment outcomes, in compliance with agency standards and best practices.
  • \n
  • Provide patients with resources, self-management skills, and education to empower them in their own recovery journey.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with clinic management and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and enhance service outcome measures.
  • \n
  • Serve as a behavioral health consultant within the clinic, advising on best practices related to patient mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your client focus will primarily be on diverse populations who may be experiencing a range of psychological issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. Many clients will present with co-occurring medical issues and require a holistic approach to their care. You will work with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, which necessitates an adaptable and culturally sensitive demeanor.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field.

  • Active LPC License in the state of Texas.
  • \n
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

  • Strong understanding of the DSM-IV diagnoses, behavioral therapy, and family systems methodologies.
  • \n
  • Ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to document patient interactions clearly.
  • \n
  • Resilience to maintain mental and physical health to handle the emotional demands of the job.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish, to better serve our diverse client population.

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team in a primary care or outpatient setting.

  • Knowledge of community resources and programs that support mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
