Key Responsibilities\n

• Manage a consistent caseload of clients, fostering effective therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethical standards.

• Conduct frequent sessions with clients to monitor their progress, assess stability, discuss future appointments, and determine the appropriate timing for discharge.

• Design, implement, and oversee individualized treatment programs in collaboration with clients to address their unique mental health needs.

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation for each client, including detailed progress notes that adhere to legal and clinical standards.

• Perform comprehensive intake evaluations to assess new clients and guide treatment planning.

• Commit to a specified number of individual therapy sessions each week, ensuring accessibility and consistency for your clients.

• Engage in regular one-on-one supervision sessions to enrich your professional development and discuss case management strategies.

• Encourage multidisciplinary cooperation by collaborating with other healthcare providers involved in client care as necessary.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field.

• A valid and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential that is active in the state of New Jersey.

• Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting.

• Proficient in computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Excel, RMS systems, Outlook, and PIMSY.
\n
• Experience in conducting direct psychotherapy services and completing comprehensive intake assessments.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with additional experience in community mental health settings or who have specialized training in specific therapeutic modalities (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, or trauma-informed care) will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth services is also advantageous.
