Job DescriptionAbout the Role:The Engineering and Maintenance Manager holds a key position in which they help evaluate and maintain current manufacturing equipment and processes, seek out potential new advanced technology for integration into existing manufacturing, and implement new technology into manufacturing processes. YourResponsibilities:Assists all business units in making operational improvements to reduce costs and to increase productivityUtilizes new technology and Lean Manufacturing principals and processes to maximize efficiencyPlans, manages, and executes capital asset programs in compliance with Annual Operating Plan and established policyPromotes development cost saving initiativesDevelops a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safetyAssigns accountability, builds teams, hires, develops, evaluates, trains, coaches and disciplines with corrective action as neededEnsures the adherence to Safeway policies, practices, and proceduresEnsures production of a quality product in compliance with Wabash quality standards as defined by the Quality organizationOther duties as assignedLet's Talk About Your Qualifications:BS Engineering or Technology required (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred or related field)3 years manufacturing plant engineering/management experience which includes financial management and project development and project management experiencePrevious experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs & PCsSuccessful department budget managementKnowledge of Capital Project Development, Cost Estimation and ManagementLean manufacturing principals, 5 S deployment/sustainability, WCM Strategy experienceProficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office, and Microsoft Project.Ability to interface and comply with regulatory agenciesProven skills and track record in Preventive Maintenance, TPM, Reliability Based Asset ManagementInterpersonal, Team Building and Collaborative skillsAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingLeadership Attributes:At Wabash, we pride ourselves on being empowering, and there are some things we feel very strongly about:Embrace Diversity and Inclusion -- Solicit and respect the input of others, celebrate differences, and strive for transparency and inclusivenessSeek to Listen -- Actively listen to reach the best solution and make the strongest decisionsAlways Learn -- Strive to improve; do not quit or settle for the status quoBe Authentic -- Demonstrate honesty, incredible energy, and grit in everything you doWin Together -- Collaborate, seek alignment, and excel at cross-group communication to success as one team and One WabashJoin us in turning ideas into world-changing realities.
