Job Description

Talent Acquisition Director

At Methodist Retirement Communities, hiring the right people directly supports the care, service, and sense of belonging our residents experience every day. We are seeking a director of talent acquisition to lead recruiting across our communities and help us attract people who connect with our mission.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on recruiting. The director will lead the talent acquisition team, partner closely with hr and community leaders, and develop practical recruiting strategies that meet staffing needs while creating a welcoming candidate experience.

What you'll do

  • Lead talent acquisition across mrc, aligning recruiting priorities with community needs and organizational goals.
  • Coach and support the recruiting team, establishing clear expectations and encouraging collaboration and professional growth.
  • Partner with hiring managers and hr leaders to understand staffing challenges, guide hiring decisions, and strengthen interview and selection practices.
  • Manage recruiting for leadership, specialized, and other priority positions.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that include digital outreach, employee referrals, school partnerships, internships, and community relationships.
  • Strengthen mrc's employer brand through the careers website, social media, recruiting campaigns, and candidate communications.
  • Oversee the applicant tracking system and recruiting tools to support consistent, efficient hiring practices.
  • Monitor recruiting results, including open positions, candidate engagement, and recruiting expenses, using findings to guide improvements.
  • Manage recruiting budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain a positive candidate experience through timely communication and thoughtful follow-through.
  • Support consistent hiring practices that align with organizational policies and applicable employment requirements.

Why mrc?

At mrc, talent acquisition has the full support of executive leadership. Our leaders understand the expertise, persistence, and relationship building successful recruiting requires, and they recognize and appreciate the team behind that work. You'll have a voice and leaders who value your contributions.

We've built a strong recruiting foundation, and this is your opportunity to take it to the next level. You'll bring fresh ideas, expand our reach, and strengthen how we attract and engage talent. Along the way, you'll partner with leaders across our communities, support a dedicated recruiting team, and see the impact of your work in the people who care for and serve our residents.

Qualifications

  • Progressive recruiting experience, including leadership of a talent acquisition team or organization-wide recruiting function.
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, senior living, or another environment with diverse and ongoing staffing needs.
  • The ability to balance long-term recruiting strategy with day-to-day hiring priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, recruiting campaigns, and recruitment reporting.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
  • A commitment to serving others and connecting people with meaningful work.

If you're a recruiting leader who values relationships, takes initiative, and wants your work to make a difference, we invite you to apply.
