Address: Lakeshore Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Jamestown, NY, and Dunkirk, NY; Surgeries conducted at UPMC Chautauqua.

Status: Full-time role

Immigration Status: Open to J1 and H-1B candidates for 2028 and beyond.

About the Role

Our organization is on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our well-established team, delivering exceptional general orthopaedic care in a community-oriented environment in Western New York. This position focuses on general orthopaedic surgery, with a preference for adult reconstruction expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with two seasoned orthopaedic surgeons at UPMC Chautauqua, recognized as a Center of Excellence for Orthopaedics.
• Receive support from a dedicated team of seven Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in various settings including the office, operating room, and hospital.
• Benefit from the affiliation with UPMC, which offers access to a broader network of specialists and resources, along with administrative and business support services.
• Utilize a fully integrated Epic electronic medical record system across the health network.
• Engage with a strong primary care referral network that ensures a steady patient volume and continuity of care.
• Participate in modernization efforts, including robotic assistance and significant upcoming renovations to the operating room, as well as recent upgrades in radiology.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.
• Eligibility or certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in adult reconstruction is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to secure an unrestricted New York Medical License and obtain necessary credentials.
• DEA certification required.

Salary Information

Minimum Salary: $645,000 | Maximum Salary: $731,000+

The stated salary range reflects our organization’s reasonable estimate for this position. It may include potential incentive-based compensation tied to quality or service metrics, if applicable. The actual compensation package for the successful candidate will be determined based on various factors, including expertise, experience, market conditions, and related salaries for similar positions.
