Position Overview\n

Ultimate Support Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time, licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma-informed care. In this role, you will be pivotal in transforming the lives of individuals who have experienced trauma, focusing on complex conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and dissociative disorders. As a member of our dedicated team, you will provide impactful therapy in a supportive and innovative remote work environment.

We pride ourselves on our evidence-based practices and a collaborative approach among our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and social workers.

Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining high standards of patient care. Although you will work from home, you will be an integral part of our committed team, participating in virtual meetings, consultations, and professional development sessions. Our work culture emphasizes connection and collaboration, ensuring that therapists have access to necessary resources and support while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to capture each patient's unique history and specific needs, informing the development of individualized treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Implement and monitor therapeutic strategies, utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • \n
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to explore their experiences and develop coping mechanisms in a safe space.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring treatment plans are integrated and effective.
  • \n
  • Respond promptly to crisis situations, offering support and interventions during trauma-related emergencies.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping strategies, enhancing their understanding and resilience.
  • \n
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • \n
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment progress and gain insights from peers.
  • \n
  • Stay current with developments in trauma therapy through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus will be on individuals grappling with various trauma-related challenges, including those struggling with PTSD and complex trauma. Our client base consists of diverse individuals seeking compassionate support and effective therapeutic interventions designed to facilitate healing and resilience. The therapist will be expected to develop strong therapeutic alliances, enabling patients to share their stories in a confidential and empathetic setting.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • \n
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during high-stress situations faced in mental health care.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, applicants with a strong background in trauma-focused therapies and a commitment to continuous learning will excel in this role. Experience working in a remote environment is advantageous, given the nature of the position.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive healthcare benefits package, retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, and professional liability insurance coverage create a supportive and enriching work environment.
